The food of Tuscany is renowned worldwide. Tuscans place great value on fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients. Be prepared to gain a few pounds! And the wine – oh my, the wine! It doesn’t get better than wine from the vineyards of Tuscany. And you must eat at least one gelato per day; more is preferred.

It’s easy to rent a car in the city and spend a few days driving around Tuscany. Towns like San Gimignano, Pisa, and the Chianti valley make perfect day trips from Florence.
